Motor Drive Hose Reels

Motorized Hose Reel for use with 10M of 100mm hose

 

A flexible hose mounted on the reel allows for extraction of gas-air mixture with max. temperature 150C. The Oskar hose reel is made from steel components which are galvanised or painted.
The spring mechanism housed on one of the sheaves allows easy manual unrolling and automatic retraction of the flexible hose. The hose may be placed in almost any position by means of a ratchet locking device mounted on the Spring Cassette. The reel is constructed to operate with the Sliding Exhaust rail. Flexible hoses in diameters 4" (100mm), 5" (125mm) and 6" (160mm) and varying lengths (see table below) may be installed. The inlet end of the flexible hose can be equipped with different types of nozzles which adapt to the tailpipe. The outlet of the reel is designed to connect flexible hose or spiral duct with a diameter of 6". A fan may also be directly mounted to the reel.

 

Hose reels are designed to facilitate the extraction of fumes and gases produced by automobiles in locations such as repair and maintenance facilities. Reels can also be used in other very remote areas to provide extraction of fumes such as in the hulls of ships or in tanks. Hoses are available at temperature ratings up to 150°C. The reel is made fabricated from steel components which are either galvanised or painted. The drum of the reel stores the hose. The spring mechanism (in spring driven series) allows for easy unrolling and automatic retraction of the flexible hose.

 

The hose may be locked in place by means of the ratchet locking system. Electric motor driven versions of Oskar exhaust hose reels are ready to operate with use of external steering unit as well as radio remote control. Flexible hoses of various diameters of 102 mm to 152 mm and lengths up to 10M simplify the servicing of vehicles and help to provide a safer workplace. The reel also includes a hose guide and mounting brackets as well as 2 side sheaves.
Each spring driven reel is fully adjustable in tension to give the retraction and release strength. All motor driven hose reels are equipped with safety limit switches which limit hose winding process.

 

Radio operated hose reels feature additional intermediate position which can be programmed with use of remote control unit. Flexible hoses may be provided with a variety of inlet nozzles depending on the vehicle being serviced. The inlet nozzle is
connected to the vehicle exhaust pipe. The outlet of the reel is designed to connect flexible hose or ducting with an outside diameter of 160 mm.

Hose reel can be mounted in any position as long as the drum is in the horizontal position. Minimum mounting height is 8ft. [2.5m].
