Providing increased efficiency throughput on the vertical machining centre by turning it into either a four sided eight-station system, a six sided twelve-station system, or a four sided sixteen-station system (for smaller components). Easily assembled to achieve critical tolerances for perpendicularity and concentricity, a standard four sided eight-station system enables three faces of up to eight components to be presented to the machine spindle in a single setup.
The ISS allows you to fit more workpieces in your machine, in more orientations, and makes it possible to complete machining operations on six sides of your components in a single machining cycle. It also allows you to reduce your setup time and provides an easy solution for complex component clamping without the need for expensive fixtures. These benefits result in the ability to eliminate seperate operations and setups allowing finished workpieces from the first machining cycle, and much higher levels of productivity with toolpaths optimised and in-cut time maximised.
The ISS can be supplied as a package with a 4th axis rotary table, or fitted to your existing setup, and it is possible to mount the system direct to the machine bed, to a custom foundation plate to suit the machine, or to a universal foundation plate which is a smaller version of a full foundation plate.
