The Kitagawa range of standard rotary tables are uniquely complemented by additional bespoke accessories that are best exemplified by the versatility, flexibility, and adaptability of the trunnion assembly and Chick Indexer Subsystem.
Trunnion assemblies allow greater flexibility in meeting the demands of your machining requirements, with excellent rigidity the addition of a trunnion jig can greatly increase the capabilities of your rotary table. A long trunnion can support larger workpieces that the rotary table alone may not be able to, and also allows simultaneous machining of multiple work pieces.
The trunnion has the added benefit of allowing further workholding to be utilised in conjunction with the rotary table. Simple fixturing can be added to the trunnion bed, making it easy to present multiple work pieces to the machine spindle at the same time.
A unique application available only from 1st MTA is the combination of Chick Workholding Multi-Lok and Kitagawa Rotary Table to create a Chick Indexer Subsystem. Abbreviated as Chick ISS, it combines the versatility of the Multi-Lok with a 4th axis rotary table, essentially converting your vertical machining centre to work like a horizontal, providing machine access to many more parts, and achieving critical tolerances for perpendicularity and concentricity.
1st MTA has the abilitiy to design and produce bespoke solutions, having your workholding manufactured to meet your requirements, meaning it can be delivered to your workshop to get cutting. For example, a hydraulic mandrel on a trunnion supported by a TR rotary table, for internal gripping of an automotive wheel.
